The green Verified badge — what it means

Ownership, identity, and photo checks all passed. It's a trust signal, not a guarantee of price or condition.

The green Verified badge tells you a Habivista listing has cleared three checks: ownership documentation, lister identity (via Ghana Card), and photo authenticity.

What it means

  • The person listing actually has authority to list (owner, registered agent, or holder of letting authority).
  • The Ghana Card or agency registration matches the public listing name.
  • The photos haven't been reverse-found on stock catalogues or scam databases.

What it doesn't mean

  • The price is fair — markets vary; always check comparables.
  • The property condition perfectly matches the photos — always view in person before money changes hands.
  • The transaction will be smooth — that depends on the people on both sides.

Why this matters

Most rental scams in Ghana start with a fake listing — stolen photos, fake agent, fake bank account for the "advance". The Verified badge eliminates that initial deception. The rest of due diligence — viewing, lawyers, agreements — is still on you.

Looking for unverified listings

By default, Habivista search shows verified listings first and unverified ones below the fold. You can include unverified listings explicitly via the search filter, but proceed with extra caution and refuse to pay anything before viewing.

Reporting a problem

If you suspect a verified listing is misrepresented, click "Report" on the listing detail page or open a ticket at /support.
