Habivista uses a small set of cookies (and similar technologies) to run the service and understand how people use it. We do not sell your data or use cookies to track you across unrelated websites.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let the site remember information across pages and visits — for example, that you are signed in.

2. Categories we use

Essential — required for the service to work (sign-in, security, fraud prevention). Cannot be disabled.
Functional — remember preferences (language, theme, recently-viewed listings).
Analytics — privacy-preserving aggregate measurement of how the site is used. No cross-site profiling.
Marketing — used only with your consent, for measuring the success of our own campaigns. Off by default.

3. The cookies we set

auth_token — Essential. Keeps you signed in. Thirty days.
habivista_session — Functional. Anonymous session ID for the recently-viewed list before sign-in. Browser session.
habivista_analytics — Analytics. Aggregated usage measurement, no cross-site tracking. Ninety days.
habivista_consent — Essential. Records your cookie preferences so we can apply them. One year.

4. Third parties

Some cookies are set by trusted third parties (payment processors, embedded media). See our sub-processors list for who we work with.

5. Managing cookies

Most browsers let you block or clear cookies via settings. Blocking essential cookies (like auth_token) will sign you out. You can also revisit your consent choices at any time at cookies/preferences.

6. Do-Not-Track

We respect Do-Not-Track signals where the browser sends them — no analytics or marketing cookies are set when DNT is enabled.
