What happens after you accept an insurance quote

Habivista hands the introduction to the insurer; everything from formal application onward sits with them.

When you accept an indicative quote on Habivista, two things happen automatically:

  1. The other partners auto-decline. They're notified you've gone with someone else, freeing their underwriting team to focus on live applicants.
  2. Your chosen insurer receives a "go" message with your contact details and the application snapshot.

What the insurer does next

  • Reaches out directly within their stated decision window (visible on each insurer's row in the comparison table).
  • Sends a formal application form — usually a PDF or web form.
  • Arranges a property survey or asks for photos. Some insurers accept video walkthroughs for diaspora clients.
  • Issues a binding quote and policy schedule once underwriting completes.
  • Collects the first premium directly. Habivista never collects your premium.

What you can do on Habivista after acceptance

  • View the accepted quote and the timeline at /insurance/my-applications/[id].
  • Withdraw if the insurer's binding offer doesn't match the indicative number — withdrawal sends you back to the comparison page with no cost or obligation.
