Ghana Card verification — what we check

We verify name, photo, and the Ghana Card number against the NIA database. Manual review for edge cases.

Habivista runs Ghana Card verification on every agent application. The check is a name and number lookup against the National Identification Authority (NIA) database, paired with a manual photo review by our trust team.

What we check

  • Name match — the name on the application must match the Ghana Card.
  • Card number — the number is verified in the NIA database for validity.
  • Photo match — the front-of-card photo is reviewed against your profile photo.
  • Card status — expired or invalid cards are rejected.

What we don't share

  • Your Ghana Card image is never displayed publicly. It's stored encrypted and only used for verification.
  • Your Ghana Card number is never shown in your profile, on listings, or in messages.
  • Verified agents only show a green badge — no card details exposed.

Common rejection reasons

  • Photo too blurry — re-upload a sharp, well-lit shot.
  • Name mismatch — your card name doesn't match what you typed in the form.
  • Cropped card — both front and back must be fully visible.
  • Card expired — renew at the NIA before re-submitting.

How long it takes

Most checks complete within 24 working hours. Edge cases (e.g., name spelling discrepancies) take 2–3 working days because they need manual review.
